Error message 252 on UNIX

When running a software application called HiPortfolio, I am getting the following intermittent error when "Slave" sessions are running tasks.

Execution error : file '/hiport/7v8/osx/dynload/BTR2XFH.gnt'
error code: 252, pc=0, call=1, seg=0
252 Memory corruption detected (addr=383c50, type=401/4)

any help in narrowing down the cause would be appreciated

I would suggest going back to the vendor for support if it is available.

We are trying to badger the vendor, but not much luck so far.
