Hi, I have been trying to install the Micro Focus server in order to get a FileShare server with the last wrappack on this linux operating system, but I don't wan to kill the mfds32 process, I stop the FileShare, but I can't find any documentation about stop the CCITCP2 daemon.
Some people says that doesn't matter and that only that I need is delete the /opt/microfocus/cobol/ directory, and put on the cd and install de MF 5.1 server, but I still have doubt about this procedure.

if anyone have some information about stop the ccitcp2 daemon and how to upgrade correctly a MF 5.0 servrer to MF 5.1 server, please post or write to aheredia at mac.com.co

thanks a lot for your help.

Hi I couldn't find anything about some feature to stop the ccitcp daemon, so according with our local support of Micro Focus Partner (DTS) and with the results of my search on Internet (especially this withe paper in Japanese ) the only way to stop this daemon is to execute a KillAll instruction:
killall -9 mfds32

after this operation, I had to rename or erase the directories of Micro Focus Server 5.0 (/opt(microfocus/cobol and /var/aslmfsem), mount the cd and install the 5.1 version.

thanks to all for reading.
